How will I know if I am eligible to vote?
Well, here is the real deal. For you to be able to take part in this election you should be:
- Have your name registered
- You should be over 18 years old on May 22
- You should be a resident of UK and a British citizen, a citizen of Ireland, qualifying Commonwealth citizen of UK, a citizen of EU and is currently residing in the United Kingdom.
How to vote?
On May 22, 2014, you should visit the nearest polling station such as a community center or a local school. Check your polling card for the location. When you are already in your designated station, the election staff will give you a ballot paper and all you need to do is to put a cross mark in the box next to your vote.
